Rain Rain
By Katherine B. Parilli
Rain, rain go away and drive me crazy no more.
For this Happy little pup longs to run and play
but your tearful clouds you keep sending my way
so that locked in doors I must unwillingly stay
Day after boring day.
Dreaming of sunshine and flowers,
I try to remember the warmth of the sun upon my fir,
and the pleasant feeling of dirt beneath my paws.
But locked within these walls,
and startled by wind, rain, and thunder
my heart does sink,
and my hope does fade,
as over and over I plead,
rain, rain, oh stubborn rain,
please go away,
and if thou must
come again on a day so very, very, very far away.

Oh no, not more rain clouds, will this stubborn rain ever go away!
Got something to say? Go for it!
