The test of character is not in refraining from stealing a treat when everyone is looking,

I know I can, I know I can, I know that I can pass this test of patience and  character.

 

but of keeping one’s paws off the plate when everyone’s back is turned and you can take some without anyone ever noticing.

Whew! I’m sure glad that test is over. Now that no one’s looking I can eat to my hearts content
