Is it just me, or does it seem like the goal in life is to hurry up and wait? That we rush and scurry about to be on time to important places, like the vet’s office or the groomer, just to have to sit and wait, and wait, and wait some more. Rushing through important task like breakfast, lunch, dinner, and naps, in hopes of scurrying out the door, only to find oneself staring at the clock while it mercilessly sings

Tic tock, tic tock, tick tock

as you impatiently sit and wait. Helplessly watching the best moments of your life be waited away.

What do you mean that you can not see me for at least another hour? If you are so busy that you can not see me until after 10, why did you make my appointment for 9? To think, I rushed through breakfast and missed my favorite episode of as the tail wags, and nearly broke my neck rushing out the door to get here on time, just so I could spend the rest of my valuable morning siting around napping in a chair that feels like it is made out of nails. At least if I had to spend my morning waiting, you could have given me the courtesy of letting me wait from the comfort of home.
